The island of Tablas is located in the Sibuyan Sea and belongs to the Philippines .
To the west extends the Tablas Strait and behind it is the large island of Mindoro . 10 km to the east - behind the Romblon Passage - is the neighboring island of Romblon and Panay to the south .
The island belongs to the Philippine province of Romblon . Tugdan Airport is located in the southeast .
