Taison Barcellos Freda , called Taison (born January 13, 1988 in Pelotas ) is a Brazilian football player . The attacking midfielder or winger plays for the Ukrainian champions Shakhtar Donetsk .

Career

Shakhtar bought Taison in January 2013 for US $ 20 million from the Ukrainian association Metalist Kharkiv . In the 2010/11 season he reached the round of 16 in the UEFA Europa League , but failed there with two defeats at Bayer 04 Leverkusen . In the 2011/12 season he only failed in the quarterfinals at Sporting Lisbon .

On September 27, 2016, Wendell's appointment to the squad for the qualifying games for the 2018 World Cup in October 2016 was announced.
