Tamara Dietl (* 24 February 1964 in Hamburg as Tamara Duve ) is a German journalist , author and consultant.

Tamara Duve was born in Hamburg in 1964 as the daughter of the SPD politician and publicist Freimut Duve and the Egyptian teacher Gulnar Abdel Magid , where she graduated from the Heinrich Hertz School in 1983 .

She completed her journalistic training from 1983 to 1985 with an internship at the Hamburger Morgenpost . She then worked as a court reporter for the same newspaper. From 1988 she worked for Spiegel TV for ten years under editor-in-chief Stefan Aust . During this time she produced numerous political and historical documentaries , including about German unity , the German autumn and the Chernobyl nuclear disaster , as well as biographical documentaries about Romy Schneider , Willy Brandt , Axel Springer , Rudolf Augstein and Marlene Dietrich, among others .

She also worked as a freelance writer and consultant for ARD , Die Zeit , Süddeutsche Zeitung and taught as a lecturer at journalism and film academies for the Henri Nannen School in Hamburg, the German Film and Television Academy Berlin and the Writing School in Cologne, among others and the Evangelical School of Journalism in Berlin.

As the administrator of her husband's estate , she published his unfinished memoirs, which were published by Kiepenheuer und Witsch in September 2016 under the title A bissel was always going . Due to her estate work, an exhibition was organized in the Literaturhaus Munich (October 2016 to February 2017).
