action

On New Year's morning, the body of a middle-aged woman was found in Frankfurt's Gallusviertel . You have high levels of alcohol in your blood. The inspectors Conny Mey and Frank Steier determine their identity very soon. Her partner and ex-prisoner with a tendency to violence, Viktor Kemper, is initially suspected. Like the victim Agnes Brendel during his lifetime, he consumed alcohol regularly and in large quantities.

The investigators also find out that the woman who was killed was in a bar on New Year's Eve and, among other things, drank a schnapps with the young Father Markus. This says that he left the pub alone before midnight. He also states that the woman continued celebrating with a gentleman. After the innkeeper mentions the man's name, the investigators pay a visit to the security guard Werner Krabonke, who lives alone. He claims that he left the pub alone before midnight and that he did not see the future victim afterwards. However, because of dubious information and a suspicious trail on the floor in his apartment, he is also targeted by investigators.

In the meantime, the also still suspicious father is kidnapped by Viktor Kemper. The reason for this was the thoughtless statement made by Commissioner Mey to her son Christian Brendel that the father had seen the victim on the night of the murder - which he in turn did not admit to the son when asked. Together with an accomplice, Kemper tries brutally to intimidate the father in order to elicit information about the course of events. The inspectors contact Kemper using Christian Brendel's mobile phone, while the captured Krabonke is being interrogated at the inspectorate. The suspicious trail on the floor turned out to be the victim's blood. When Father Markus points out his confessional secret to Kemper , the situation comes to a head. At the same time, Krabonke confesses to the murder he confessed to Father Markus on New Year's morning in the church, and the commissioners telephone the kidnappers with this information, which saves the father from worse.
