action

The body of Carla, who has been missing for over four weeks, is found in a body of water near Munich. Batic, Leitmayr and the new investigator Gisbert Engelhardt determine that the 15-year-old probably got into the car with her killer on the night of the crime after she missed her bus on the way home from sports. Engelhardt quickly developed into an apparently overzealous colleague. It isolates a distinctive sound from a recording on Carla's parents' answering machine. According to Engelhardt's theory, it is the murderer's throat clearing when Carla called home from the killer's car. Then one theory replaces the next and his suspicions turn out to be false. When he sees Carla's corpse for the first time, he falls in fainting . When Batic and Leitmayr later suggest that he change the department , he asks for one last chance and quickly investigates on his own. A little later his body is found, according to the evidence, he was murdered by the same person as Carla.

Batic and Leitmayr take it with them, especially Franz Leitmayr suffers publicly and isolates himself from his colleague Batic.

When Leitmayr leaves tears near Engelhardt's funeral service earlier and drinks a beer at the kiosk near the crime scene, he hears the characteristic clearing of his throat, isolated on the tape, of a man sitting nearby. He speaks to the man who can only be seen from behind and wants to ask him a question. The man escapes immediately. When trying to catch the suspect, he runs into a moving car and is fatally injured by it. Leitmayr is certain that it was the murderer. The film ends with a flashback: a van stops next to Carla in the dark. A man's voice can be heard from the car, offering the young person to take her away. After Carla refuses, she finally gets in.

Reviews

"This crime scene is very high in the 2012 ranking, maybe even number one."

"Alexander Adolph has succeeded in creating an intelligent 'crime scene' that knows how to score points with a reduced plot, poetry, effective flashback technique and subtle wit, before he puts the heroes and the audience in shock in the final third."
