Monika Goll (* 1942 ) is a German actress .

Life

Education and theater

Monika Goll completed her acting training at the New Munich Drama School from 1962 to 1964 . She began her stage career with permanent engagements at the Landshut Theater (1965–1966) and at the Landestheater Coburg (1967–1969).

Then Goll was mainly active as a guest actress, u. a. at Theater Schloss Maßbach (1970; as Wassilissa in night asylum ), at Theater Schleswig (1973, 1978), at Theater Recklinghausen (1974), at Stadttheater Freiburg (1975), at Contra-Kreis-Theater in Bonn (1976), at the Comedy at the Marquardt in Stuttgart (1981), regularly at the Volkstheater Frankfurt (1982–1985), the Theater Dortmund (1987, and again later in 1990; as smuggler Emma in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti ) and at the Theater Bamberg (1988; as Queen in Hamlet ) and at the Comedy Frankfurt (1989).

In 1989 and 1990 she performed at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart , a. a. as Mrs. John in The Rats and as Mrs. Quickly in The Merry Wives of Windsor . In 1991/92 she appeared at the Klagenfurt City Theater as Mrs. Alving in Ghosts and in the title role of the play The American Popess by Esther Vilar .

This was followed by further theater engagements at the Krefeld Theater (1992; as Claire in Die Maiden ), at the Braunschweig State Theater (1993; including the title role in Mother Courage ), at the Trier City Theater (1994, again as Mother Courage), at the United Theaters in Bolzano (1995, again as American Popess) and at the Zimmertheater Heidelberg (1999 and 2000).

In the following years she was regularly seen at the Alten Schauspielhaus Stuttgart: as Poncia in Bernarda Albas Haus (1999), as Mother Courage (2000), as Claire Zachanassian in The Visit of the Old Lady (2001), as Die Neuberin (2002 ), as Mrs. Marthe Rull in Der zerbrochne Krug (2003) and as Nurse Hanna Kennedy in Maria Stuart (2003).

In recent years Goll has played at the Stadttheater Regensburg (2004), at the comedy in the Bayerischer Hof (2005/06 season, tour) and at the Theater für Niedersachsen (TFN) in Hildesheim (2008; 2009–2010; there, among other things, as a grandmother in stories from the Vienna Woods ).

Festival appearances

She made several guest appearances at festivals, a. a. at the Gandersheim Cathedral Festival (1971), at the Bad Hersfeld Festival (1980; as Georgette in Die Schule der Frauen ) and at the Luisenburg Festival (1985; as Maria in Was ihr wollt ). In 1986 she appeared again at the Luisenburg Festival, this time as Constance Bonacieux in The Three Musketeers ; in the same year she also had a guest engagement at the Jagsthausen Castle Festival as Götz's wife Elisabeth in Götz von Berlichingen .

She had other festival appearances at the Ettlingen Castle Festival (1987; as Mrs. Sarti in the Life of Galilei ), and again and again, at the Luisenburg Festival: 1992 as the widow Shin in Der gute Mensch von Sezuan , 1995 as the farmer Armgard in Wilhelm Tell , 1996 as Daja in Nathan der Weise , 1996 as Belinde in The Imaginary Sick , 1998 as Queen Mother in Becket or the Honor of God , 2001 as a fortune teller in We Got Away Again , and finally again in 2002 as Goebbels in the play In der Löwengrube von Felix Mitterer .

She also went on several theater tours through Germany. At the theater and in festival productions she worked a. a. with the directors Hansgünther Heyme , Imo Moszkowicz , Klaus Gmeiner , Adam Hanuszkiewicz , Wolfgang Kaus , Elert Bode , Hans-Joachim Heyse , Pavel Fieber , Ellen Schwiers , Herbert Kreppel , Günter Krämer , Günther Fleckenstein and Pia Hänggi .

Movie and TV

Since the 1970s, Goll also worked for film and television. She made her television debut in October 1973 in the small role of the housemaid in the 64th episode of the ZDF television series Der Kommissar . Later mostly supporting roles followed, u. a. in the television series Büro, Büro (1993), Die Wache (1994), Diegerichtreporterin (1994) and Marienhof (2010).

In March 2016 she was seen in the ARD crime series Hubert and Staller in an episode role; she played Luise Ammann, the witness and mother of a suspect, former classmate of Staller's. In April and May 2017, Goll was in front of the camera for the ARD series Rote Rosen . In episode 2454 (broadcast: July 3, 2017) she made her first appearance; she played the "grumpy" patient and former allotment gardener Helga Kathmann.

Private

Monika Goll speaks English and French . She lives in Munich in the Maxvorstadt district .
