Class Fight is a television film from the crime series Tatort . The report, produced by Bayerischer Rundfunk and directed by Friedemann Fromm , was first broadcast on June 5, 1994 in Erste as the 293rd episode in the series. It is the eighth case for Commissioners Ivo Batic and Franz Leitmayr .

action

The young Croatian Drago Stepanovic gets into a massive argument with the brother of his friend Elke Seidel at a school festival. Kalle Seidel is a member of a xenophobic group of neo-Nazis and does not want his sister to mess with a " Kanaken ". Before the dispute can escalate, the teachers attack Dr. Klaus Sperber and Rainer Schäfer. Kalle later vented his frustration on the latter and Sparhawk advised him to defend himself against the gang that was just about to storm the building and was being pursued by Drago and his supporters. A short time later, Kalle Seidel falls out of a window on the fourth floor. Everyone involved hurriedly to leave and so he was only found dead by the caretaker the next day.

The commissioners Ivo Batic and Franz Leitmayr are investigating and trying to find out whether it was a suicide or whether there was a homicide. You learn from the trust teacher Heppa that the school is about to close due to permanent violent attacks on the part of the students. The investigators therefore suspect that Seidel did not voluntarily throw himself into death. Nevertheless, Director Sperber defends the suicide thesis. He does not want that "dust is raised unnecessarily." He has already invested three years of extensive work in his somewhat authoritarian educational concept, which he does not want to be ruined.

Due to the dispute at the school festival, Drago is suspected of having something to do with Kalle's death. Frank Hoffmann, the victim's best friend, is also interviewed. Batic gets to feel the hatred and hostility of the neo-Nazis directly, from which Leitmayr can only protect him to a limited extent.

Despite all the obstacles, Drago and Elke dream of a future together. But Drago behaves in a suspiciously suspicious manner when he evades another questioning by Batic and injures Director Sparhawk with a knife on his escape. Drago's friend explains that someone was still in the building that evening and that Drago didn't push Kalle out of the window. The commissioners would like to interrogate him again, but Drago has gone into hiding.

Due to the media attention that the gang war of the Munich students received, Kale's friends decide to go out to find the alleged perpetrator on their own. Meanwhile, Batic and Leitmayr have a lead on Drago and hope to find him before the angry neo-Nazis. They succeed, but they are now also convinced that Drago is innocent.

Class teacher Schäfer seems overwhelmed by the constant aggressiveness of his students. It is also clear that Kalle and his friend Frank hold him responsible for their bad grades and may have put him under pressure. After the victim's blood is found on Schäfer's pants, he is suspected of having committed a crime. He admits to the commissioners that he got into a conflict with Kalle that evening, as a result of which the boy fell out of the window.

While the commissioners are interrogating Schäfer and Sperber, the neo-Nazis have taken Goran Stepanovic hostage. While trying to escape the gang, the boy runs straight into a car and dies. Gang leader Robert Schneider was arrested, but had to be released for lack of evidence. Goran's big brother Drago then also wants to run Schneider over with a car, but breaks off this plan when Batic gets in his way. After Schneider applauds the inspector for his daring rescue mission, he threatens Schneider that he would get him in a while.
