The Taubensteinhaus is an Alpine Club hut of the " Bergbund Munich Section " of the German Alpine Club , and is managed almost all year round.
The Taubensteinhaus is a category II hut and is located in the Schlierseer Mountains in the Mangfall Mountains ( Bavarian Prealps ) northeast below the Taubenstein in the western municipality of Bayrischzell .
Ascent
The ascent is usually from the Spitzingsee , roughly along the lift of the Taubensteinbahn or along the slopes of the Jägerkamp from the Spitzingsattel . In the summer season it is also possible to reach the Taubensteinhaus from Geitau on the approx. 8 km long forest path.
