Tegernbach (Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm)
Tegernbach is a district of the town of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm in the Upper Bavarian district of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .
geography
The parish village is located about eight kilometers northwest of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm and five kilometers southeast of Hohenwart in the Hallertau in the middle of Bavaria. Tegernbach is at an altitude of 436 m above sea level. NN and has 932 inhabitants (as of December 31, 2019).
history
Tegernbach was first mentioned at the end of the 12th century in documents in the Scheyern monastery . During the Thirty Years War , Tegernbach fell to the Counts of Toerring by dividing the inheritance . With the Hofmark Pörnbach they owned a complex consisting of nine originally independent court brands. The administrative center of the court brands Pörnbach, Euernbach , Göbelsbach , Tegernbach, Ritterswörth , Burgstall , Eschelbach , Förnbach and Puch, which had been the patrimonial courts of the Counts of Törring-Jettenbach since 1819/20 , was in Pörnbach. Patrimonial jurisdiction was abolished in the revolution of 1848 .
In 1818 the community was formed and until 1839, successively dissolved neighboring communities were allocated to Tegernbach and partially separated again. On January 1, 1972 Tegernbach lost its independence in the course of the municipal reform and was incorporated into the city of Pfaffenhofen an der Ilm .
In 2003, Tegernbach achieved a silver medal in the competition Our village should become more beautiful - our village has a future at the administrative district level.
coat of arms
The stylized “T” represents the three districts Enthof in the south, Oberhof in the east and Unthof in the north. A hop plant wraps around this "T". A single leaf can be seen at the top left and the hop umbel at the bottom right. The stream that gave the place Tegernbach its name crosses in the middle. The yellow and blue colors are based on the coat of arms of the city of Pfaffenhofen.
Worth seeing
In the middle of the village is the Kirendl chapel, built in 1871 . It is framed by two linden trees, which are classified as a natural monument .
