TEO (actually Belarusian Юрый Вашчук / Juryj Waschtschuk, English Yuriy Vaschuk ; born January 24, 1983 in Hidry, Belarusian SSR , USSR ) is a Belarusian singer .

Career

In 2009 TEO entered the Eurofest 2009 , the Belarusian preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 , for the first time under his real name Juryj Waschtschuk together with Hanna Blahawa ( Belarusian Ганна Благава ) . However, they failed there in the semifinals.

On January 10, 2014, he won the Eurofest 2014 edition and represented Belarus with the title Cheesecake at the Eurovision Song Contest 2014 in Copenhagen, Denmark . On May 8th he was able to prevail in the second semifinals of the ESC and therefore also appeared in the final show. There he reached the 16th place.
