Thassilo von Scheffer

Thassilo von Scheffer (born July 1, 1873 in Prussian Stargard ; † November 27, 1951  in Berlin ) was a German poet who is best known for his translations of ancient Greek poetry (including Homer's ).

He studied at the universities in Strasbourg , Königsberg and Freiburg i. Br. And became Dr. phil. PhD. He then lived as a freelance writer in Munich , Berlin and Rome .
