The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventure ( Japanese ゼ ル ダ の 伝 説 4 つ の 剣 + , Zeruda no Densetsu: Yottsu no Tsurugi Purasu , literally: The Legend of Zelda: The Sword of Four + ) is a video game released by Nintendo in 2004 from the The Legend of Zelda series , which was released on January 7, 2005 in Germany .

action

In order to put a stop to the evil witcher Vaati, Link must take advantage of the Sword of the Four , which divides him into four links that must cooperate in order to complete the adventure.

Modes

The game offers - in the western versions - 2 different modes.

Adventure Hyrule

The game offers a total of 8 different levels, each containing 3 areas. At least 2000 Force Crystals must be collected in each area. In multiplayer, the player who has collected the most force crystals is chosen as the “winner”. On the one hand, the players have to work together to master the level, but on the other hand they also have to compete for the force crystals.

Shadow battle

In contrast to the adventure mode, the shadow battle is more entertaining and not very extensive. In different areas, which are taken from the adventure mode, the 2-4 players fight against each other.

background

Four Swords Adventures was released in Japan and the USA in 2004 , and in Europe in 2005 . This GameCube game relies on the connection option with the Gameboy Advance . All of the included games can be played alone, but the game only unfolds its full functionality in multiplayer mode with connected Game Boy Advance consoles. The game graphics are similar to those of the Four Swords game for Game Boy Advance, i.e. the player sees a lot from a bird's eye view. In 2012, Zelda Four Swords was available for one month on Nintendo 3DS.

Manga

Under the title The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures , the game was officially adapted as a two-part manga by the mangaka duo Akira Himekawa in 2004/2005 .

Each of the four links - Green , Blue , Red and Vio (lett) - has, unlike in the game, its own personality and reflects character traits of the original link in a very pronounced form. Green is impulsive and most similar to the original, Blue is irascible, Red is sensitive and optimistic, and Vio is calm and intelligent. Together they have to stop Shadow-Link and Vaati, who kidnapped Princess Zelda and want to plunge their homeland Hyrule into darkness. It soon becomes clear that someone else is pulling the strings behind the two. However, when the four heroes are separated, it seems like Vio is fighting on the opposite side ...
