Thierry Dusserre (born July 25, 1967 in Romans-sur-Isère ) is a French biathlon coach and former biathlete .

Thierry Dusserre lives in Villard-de-Lans and works as a customs officer. The biathlete from SC Douanes Grenoble has been practicing his sport since 1985. Since the late 1980s he started in the biathlon world cup . At the Biathlon World Championships in 1989 in Feistritz an der Drau he started in singles and was 53rd. The Frenchman won first points in 1989 as 19th of an individual in Hämeenlinna . At the Biathlon World Championships in 1993 he was able to win the bronze medal in the team fight together with Gilles Marguet , Xavier Blond and Lionel Laurent . Dusserre made his breakthrough to the top of the world during the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . In the sprint he ran to a good 19th place, but together with Patrice Bailly-Salins , Lionel Laurent and Hervé Flandin in the relay he was able to win the bronze medal behind the German and Russian teams. At the biathlon world championships in 1995 in Antholz , the Frenchman was able to win a medal with the relay team in the same line-up, now silver behind Germany. He also won bronze in the team competition with Franck Perrot , Laurent and Stéphane Bouthiaux . In the individual he ran to 24th place. The world championships of the following year in Ruhpolding brought a 38th place in the individual and a fifth place with the relay. The 1996/97 season brought Dusserre the best World Cup result of his career in a single race. In Novosibirsk he finished eighth in a single. He also achieved several top ten results in the season with the relay. At the 1997 Biathlon World Championships in Osrblie , fifth place with the relay was again the best result. In the sprint he finished 16th, in the individual the Frenchman finished 29th. Last major event were to Dusserre 1998 Winter Olympics from Nagano . At the competitions in Nozawa Onsen he ran to 46th place in the individual, 50th in the sprint and seventh with the French relay. After the season Dussere ended his active career.

After his playing days Dussere became a coach. His protégés include Jean-Guillaume Béatrix , Marine Dusser , and Marie-Laure Brunet .
