Thomas G. Greiner

Thomas G. Greiner (born September 24, 1966 in Weilheim in Upper Bavaria ) is a German part-time brass music composer and arranger who works as a statistician and farmer .

Life

Thomas Greiner, son of a carpenter , grew up in Huglfing in Upper Bavaria and wrote his first polkas at the age of about 13 . Self-taught , he expanded his knowledge in the field of typesetting , harmonization and instrumentation . After graduating from high school, he studied statistics at the LMU Munich and then worked in the State Office for Statistics . In 1995 Freek Mestrinis Wertach Musikverlag published a work by Greiner for the first time with the Medley Italia ti amo . In 2003 Greiner sent his composition Ferienzeit to the conductor and composer Guido Henn , who then published it with his orchestra Guido Henn and his golden brass music on the album Böhmische Musikantengrüße . Since then, the two have worked closely together. Thomas Greiner founded Panorama-Musikverlag in 2011 .

Greiner played the trumpet and flugelhorn with the Habach band until he switched to the French horn. For ten years he directed the Huglfing band.

Thomas G. Greiner is married, has three children and lives in Antdorfer district vineyards . He has been working in regional development and in his wife's farm since 2012 .
