Thomas Georgi (born September 26, 1981 in Salzgitter-Bad ) is a German actor .

Life

Thomas Georgi grew up in Cologne . From 2000 to 2004 he studied acting at the Arturo Drama School in Cologne. From 2005–2006 he completed an additional course in movement and dance at the Escola de Movimiento in Barcelona . In the further course of his career he also attended a workshop on Meisner Technique with Hendrik Martz and Jim Walker and took part-time postgraduate studies at the drama school "Die Tankstelle" (Sigrid Andersson) in Berlin .

During his studies Georgi played at several Cologne theaters such as the Casamax Theater, the Schauspiel Köln and the Theater im Bauturm . In 2004 he performed at the Stadttheater Münster . In 2005 he appeared at the Braunschweig State Theater as Peachum in Brecht / Weill's Die Dreigroschenoper . Engagements at other Cologne theaters (Art Theater, Theater der Keller ) and at various stages in the Rhineland followed . In the 2007/08 season he was a guest at Comödie Bochum in the screwball comedy Ganz Kerle! by Canadian author Kerry Renard . In 2008 he played at the Monsun Theater in Hamburg .

From 2008 he mainly appeared on independent theaters and independent theater productions in Berlin. He played with the Hebbel am Ufer (HAU), the Tiyatrom , the “Theaterkapelle Berlin” and since 2010 regularly at the Theater unterm Dach . He is a founding member of the Berlin theater collective "PortFolio.Inc" with numerous productions at the Theater unterm Dach in Berlin. In 2016 he played in the "PortFolio.Inc" production Die Menschenenspielerin with quotes by Anaïs Nin from conversations with her psychoanalyst Otto Rank and her lover Henry Miller . In the 2019/20 season Georgi performed with the Vaganten Bühne Berlin in the production People in the Hotel in the Savoy Hotel in Berlin.

As a freelance actor, Georgi also stood in front of the camera for film and television productions. He turned u. a. directed by Carlo Rola , Nikolai Müllerschön , Cornelius Schwalm and Oliver Dommenget . In the 11th season of the ZDF series SOKO Wismar (2019) he took on an episode role as private detective Till Bartels.

Georgi also worked as an advertising actor ( Celebrations , GoYellow , Ramazzotti ) and radio play speaker ( Nils Holgerson at Audible ). He lives in Berlin.

Awards

  • 2019 he was recognized for his lead role of suffering from a brain tumor Samuel in the science fiction - Film Noir Night Glider (Director: Nico Nolan) awarded "Best Actor" at Noida International Film Festival.
