Thomas Müller (politician, 1959)

Thomas Michael Müller (* 25. April 1959 ) is a German politician ( CDU ) since 1994 and district administrator of the district Hildburghausen .

Life

Müller attended the technical glass vocational school in Ilmenau and graduated as a systems engineer with a high school diploma. He then completed direct studies at the Technical University of Dresden with the degree of Dipl.-ing.-päd. for mechanical engineering. From 1984 to 1990 he was a vocational school teacher at the Themar vocational school.

From 1990 to 1994 mayor of Schönbrunn (Schleusegrund) .

On June 12, 1994, he stood for election in the district of Hildburghausen. With 35.8%, he received most of the votes cast, but missed the necessary majority, so that a runoff election on June 26th was necessary. This time he received 53.6% of the votes cast. He was confirmed in office in the following district council elections. On May 14, 2000, he received 60.9% of the votes cast, on May 7, 2006 65.1%, on April 22, 2012 64.7% and on April 15, 2018 61.1%.

Müller is married and has a daughter.
