Erythrae ( Italian Eritre ) is a titular bishopric of the Roman Catholic Church .

It goes back to a lost bishopric in Erythrae or Erythrai ( Greek : Ἐρυθραί, later Litri), one of the twelve Ionian cities of Asia Minor, which were northeast of the port of Cyssus ( Çeşme ) and directly opposite the island of Chios . The bishopric belonged to the ecclesiastical province of Ephesus .
