The Trainsjoch ( 1708 m above sea level / 1707 m above sea level ) is a mountain in the Mangfall Mountains on the border between Bavaria and Tyrol, about 10 km south of Bayrischzell east of the Ursprung Pass .
The mountain can easily be climbed from the original pass. A little surefootedness is required when climbing over the western ridge, the ascent from the south is easier. On the way is the Obere Trockenbachalm (Mariandlalm), which is open all year round. The mountain is also popular in winter.
There is a cross on the summit, the panorama is extensive and extends in the south to the firn peaks of the central alpine chain with the Großglockner , Großvenediger and Zillertal Alps . Particularly noteworthy is the view over to the striking Kaiser Mountains .
