The Transilien U line is part of the Transilien network in the Paris metropolitan area . It connects the center of Paris with the south-western suburbs. The line starts at La Défense station . The end point is La Verrière train station .
history
On August 2, 1839, the La Défense - Viroflay line was opened as part of the Paris - Versailles-Rive-Droite line. On July 12, 1849, the Viroflay - La Verrière section opened as part of the Paris – Brest railway line .
At the end of 2004, the Transilien line U was put into operation on this route.
