Triallat is an active ingredient for crop protection and a chemical compound from the group of thiocarbamates .
history
Triallat was introduced to the market by the Monsanto company in the 1960s .
use
Triallate is as herbicide (interfere with the cell division processes) for the control of wild oats and Windhalm in cereals (except oats ) in beet , corn , vegetables and forage peas used. It is used for this in liquid form (dissolved e.g. in acetonitrile ).
Admission
In some EU countries, Triallat is approved as a plant protection product , but not in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

At higher temperatures, triallate is unstable and decomposes, producing nitrogen oxides , hydrogen chloride and sulfur oxides .
