The Triebenbach , formerly also called Trüber Bach , is a nearly six kilometer long brook that rises on the western slope of the Sonnenhübels , flows through Königsholz in a northerly direction and flows east of Ruppersdorf into the Petersbach . On its way it absorbs the water from Dreibörnerbach , Bornwasser and Kreuzgrund . The brook shows a high level of iron ocher formation.
Due to erosion, the stream has formed a sand and gravel shaped valley . Its banks are covered with a typical grove - black alder brook forest and belong to the FFH area Pließnitz area . In addition to the common brown trout , occurrences of the brown lamprey and bullhead , which are very rarely found in Saxony, are particularly worth mentioning .
