Tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate , TCEP for short , is a chemical compound from the phosphoric acid ester group . It is used as a plasticizer and viscosity regulator with flame-retardant properties (e.g. for PUR ).
Extraction and presentation
Tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate can be obtained by reacting phosphorus oxitrichloride with ethylene oxide in the presence of aluminum chloride. In 1995, the consumption volume in Germany was more than 1000 t per year.
safety instructions
Tris (2-chloroethyl) phosphate is considered to be teratogenic and may be carcinogenic.
