Tutti giù - In free fall (original title: Tutti giù ) is a Swiss feature film from 2012 . The premiere was on August 7, 2012 at the Locarno International Film Festival . The film was also dubbed in German and had its television premiere on February 5, 2014 on SRF two . The director and screenwriter was Niccolò Castelli.

The film is about the three young people from Ticino, Chiara, Jullo and Edo. They all have a passion: the ski racer Chiara Merz is on her way to the top of the world in the Alpine Ski World Cup , Jullos is passionate about skateboarding and Edo indulges in graffiti spraying .

Most of the film was shot in Lugano in the canton of Ticino . TV recordings of the World Cup races in St. Moritz in 2008, 2009 and 2012 as well as of the Alpine World Ski Championships 2011 in Garmisch-Partenkirchen are also used. Also on view are recordings of a game between HC Lugano and HC Davos in the Resega , the ice hockey stadium in Lugano.
The film budget was 1,500,000 Swiss francs .
criticism
The film won the prize for best feature film 2013 at the film festival in Kitzbühel .
Trivia
When Chiara Merz becomes vice world champion, the correct TV footage is shown of the downhill race in St. Moritz on February 2, 2008, when Lara Gut was third. It was a world cup race, not a world championship as shown in the film.
