The Tyx (also spelled Tix ) is a river in France that runs through the Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes regions. It has its source in the Millevaches en Limousin Regional Nature Park , near the hamlet of Pompignat , in the municipality of Basville . It generally drains in an easterly direction, crosses several lakes and, after around 20 kilometers, flows into the Sioulet as a left tributary in the municipality of Saint-Étienne-des-Champs . On its way, the Tyx crosses the Creuse and Puy-de-Dôme departments .
