reception

“As in Negima! Magister Negi Magi is not stingy with the female characters […] with their charms ”, writes the Animania about the manga. Nevertheless, the Etchi scenes are comparatively harmless and always embedded in the plot. The draftsman's “typical Shonen art” is “detailed, routine and chic” and the story offers not only action but also intense dialogues and slapstick. The quickly narrated plot is devoted to genre-typical action and humor as well as “explosive gender issues in an original way ”.
