Ullrich Diesing , also written as Ulrich, (born March 12, 1911 in Trebschen ( Silesia ), † April 17, 1945 near Boitzendorf ) was a German officer , most recently Major General of the Air Force in World War II .

Diesing joined the police on April 1, 1931, and completed an aircraft pilot training course at the German commercial aviation school , whose examination he passed at the end of September 1932. He then served until the end of January 1935 in the Mecklenburg State Police, where he had completed a police officer course from January to September 1934. On February 1, 1935, Diesing joined the Luftwaffe, which was under construction, where he completed training at the flying school in Cottbus by the end of June 1935 . After its completion, he worked from July 1935 to mid-January 1937 as a pilot at the Berlin Air Command and in the same position from January 15, 1937 to April 20, 1938 in the Greifswald training squadron .

On April 20, 1940 Diesing was posted to the Reich Ministry of Aviation (RLM), where he served as a consultant, later in the Air Force Command Staff and finally in the General Staff of the Quartermaster General of the Air Force. In September 1941 Diesing joined the Luftwaffe fighter pilots, where he became group commander in Destroyer Wing 1 in January 1942 . There he rose to Commodore in March 1942 , whose function he held until September 21, 1942. On September 22, 1942 Diesing returned to the RLM, where he initially worked on the staff of the Air Force Command Staff. In March 1944 he was appointed head of the CL / A planning office in the RLM and on August 1, 1944, he was appointed head of the technical air force armament for the fighter emergency program . Diesing held this position until his death on April 17, 1945. On this day he had an accident for unknown reasons in a car accident near Boitzendorf , where he is also buried. Diesing flew 200 sorties with no confirmed degree.
