The village of Untersdorf is part of the Middle Franconian market of Schnaittach and has a predominantly rural character. The neighboring towns are Laipersdorf, Germersberg, Weigensdorf, Großbellhofen, Simonshofen and Bullach. The place is on the state road St 2236, extends between the Peuntgraben and the Krebsbach and has 16 properties. To the south of the village is the Nuremberg Spitalwald.
