The village of Bondorf is a district of the Middle Franconian market Schnaittach , located on the Hersbrucker Alb , which formerly belonged to Osternohe. Its name comes from Baumdorf and indicates a relatively late development.

The village has a predominantly rural character. The neighboring towns are Waizmannsdorf, Osternohe, Schloßberg, Entmersberg, Hinterhof, Enzenreuth, Morsbrunn and Poppenhof. The Bondorfer Bach rises slightly above and flows into the Osternoher Bach. The Osterohe ski lift is in the immediate vicinity.
