history

The place is mentioned around 1280 as Sighartstorf , i.e. the village of a Sighart. There used to be a castle there, because in the 13th / 14th centuries. In the 19th century there was a family of Lords von Siegersdorf in the area .

As a result of the administrative reforms carried out in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , Siegersdorf became an independent rural community with the second municipal edict in 1818. In 1930 the council of the neighboring municipality of Rabenshof decided to dissolve this municipality. The reason for this was that some of the districts were very widely scattered, which meant that the associated administrative matters could only be maintained with relatively great effort. Because of this, on July 1, 1931, the village of Rabenshof, the hamlet of Enzenreuth and the deserted Hinterhof and Kaltenherberg were incorporated into the municipality of Siegersdorf.

In the course of the municipal territorial reform carried out in Bavaria in the 1970s , Siegersdorf and all of the associated districts were incorporated into the Schnaittach market. In 2017 Siegersdorf had 95 inhabitants.
