Poppenhof is a district of the Middle Franconian market Schnaittach .
The hamlet has a predominantly rural character and is located about 2 km northeast of Schnaittach, near the A 9 motorway on the LAU 10 district road and on the Osternoher Bach . It has about 15 buildings and is divided into a western and an eastern half by the stream and a narrow hallway.
The Poppenhof probably owes its name to members of the Easter noble family called Poppo.
As a result of the administrative reforms in the Kingdom of Bavaria at the beginning of the 19th century , the place became part of the rural community of Rabenshof with the second municipal edict . This was dissolved on July 1, 1931 and Poppenhof was incorporated into Hedersdorf , which was incorporated into Schnaittach in 1971 as part of the municipal reform.
