The Einöde Schäferhütte is a district of the Middle Franconian market Schnaittach and has a predominantly rural character. The place consists of four properties and is located directly at the Lauf-Lillinghof airfield on the southeast slope of the Epperlesberg (545 m). The neighboring towns are Kirchrüsselbach , Oberrüsselbach , Oberwindsberg , Lillinghof , Freiröttenbach , Illhof and Oedhof . The latter two places already belong to the immediately adjacent district of Erlangen-Höchstadt , while Schäferhütte itself belongs to the district of Nürnberger Land . In addition, the Forchheim district borders with Rüsselbach . The place is largely surrounded by forest and belongs to the Freiröttenbach district . There is access to Schäferhütte from Lillinghof, from Lauf-Lillinghof airfield and from Oedhof.
