history

The first written mention of the village took place in 1365 as the property of Čeněk Krušina from Lichtenburg on Ronov . A little later the village came to the Lords of Wildenberg. In 1371 Půta von Wildenberg sold Wildenberg Castle with all its accessories, including Vítovice, to Margrave Johann Heinrich . The castle became extinct during the Moravian Brotherly War between Johann Heinrich's sons Jobst and Prokop . Margrave Jobst sold off the villages of the Wildenberg rule between 1385 and 1406. There is evidence of a farm in Vítovice in 1448 and 1466. After numerous changes of ownership, the Liechtensteiners acquired the village in the 17th century . In 1834 221 people lived in the 30 houses of the village. At that time there was a mill in Vítovice and a stately hunter's house above the village on the edge of the forest. Until the middle of the 19th century, Vítovice was subject to the Pozořice rule.

After the abolition of patrimonial Vitovice formed a community in the district administration Wischau from 1850 . In 1961 Vítovice was combined with Královopolské Vážany to form a municipality Vážany-Vítovice . This was incorporated into Rousínov at the beginning of 1986 . The village has always been parish to Královopolské Vážany. In 1991 Vítovice had 328 inhabitants. In the 2001 census, 304 people were counted, the place consisted of 118 houses.
