The administrative community of Königstein / Sächs. Schw. Is an administrative community in the Free State of Saxony in the district of Saxon Switzerland-Eastern Ore Mountains . It is located in the south of the district south of the district town of Pirna . It borders the Czech Republic in the south . It is located in Saxon Switzerland , mostly on the left bank of the Elbe .
The administrative community of Königstein / Sächs. Schw. Was formed on January 1, 1997 with the member communities Königstein and Rathen. On January 1, 2000, the three communities Gohrisch, Rosenthal-Bielatal and Struppen were added.
