Victor Hardung

Victor Hardung (born November 3, 1861 in Essen , † July 2, 1919 in St. Gallen ) was a German - Swiss journalist and writer .

Victor Hardung was the son of an architect from Essen. Hardung initially worked for the Prussian Mining Authority in Bonn . He then ran agricultural and medical studies; afterwards he studied German literature , philosophy and political science at the universities of Strasbourg and Zurich until 1893 . From 1893 he lived as a journalist and writer in Zurich . He published the Swiss Literature Calendar and was editor of theFriends of the people in Flawil , Canton St. Gallen .

From 1899 to 1916 he was one of the features section - Editor of the St. Galler Tageblatt on. Between 1906 and 1910 he attended lectures on constitutional law and economics at the University of Zurich . Hardung received Swiss citizenship in 1917 , his hometown was Egg in the canton of Zurich . Most recently he lived in the St. Gallen district of Notkersegg.

Victor Hardung was a writer of narrative works , poems and plays . The subjects of his works often come from mythology or ancient history.
