history

The result is Voigtlaide which the Rümpfwald is, in the 17th century from a Vorwerk on a ridge (318 m above sea level. NN) east of Wernsdorf . The place was mentioned in documents in 1628 as "on the Voitsleiden". Although the Vorwerk soon grew by a few farmsteads, a planned settlement did not take place until 1725 at the instigation of Otto Ernst von Schönburg-Remissau († 1746), the owner of the Hinterglauchau estate. Since the residents could not live from agriculture alone on their plots , they had to work as day laborers and handlers as early as the 18th century. The church originally belonged to Glauchau, and since 1728 to Wernsdorf.

Regarding the manorial rule , the place belonged as an official village to the Glauchau rule , Hinterglauchau office until the 19th century . Once in the field of Rezessherrschaften Schoenburg an administrative reform was carried out in 1878, Voigtlaide came in 1880 to the newly established Saxon Amtshauptmannschaft Glauchau .

As a result of the second district reform in the GDR , Voigtlaide came to the Glauchau district in the Chemnitz district in 1952 (renamed the Karl-Marx-Stadt district in 1953 ), which was continued in 1990 as the Saxon district of Glauchau and in 1994 in the Chemnitzer Land district and in 2008 in Zwickau district rose. Voigtlaide was incorporated into Wernsdorf on August 1, 1973 , with whom he came to the city of Glauchau on January 1, 1993. Voigtlaide is now part of the Wernsdorf district of the large district town of Glauchau.
