Von Flores (born April 5, 1960 in Malabon , Rizal , Philippines ; actually Valentin Andres Tanga Flores IV ) is a Filipino- Canadian actor .

Life and accomplishments

Von Flores was born in the Philippine city of Malabon, in the province of Rizal, near Manila . He grew up in a very musical family and has been playing the trumpet since the age of seven. His father played the piano and his brother played the saxophone. In Canada, Flores played the trumpet in an orchestra. He studied chemistry for a while at the University of Toronto before giving up and learning to act. He studied acting in New York City at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the Center for Actors Study in Toronto. He learned movement and dance at the Richard Sugarman Ballet , the Hart House Ballet and the Studio Dance Theater in Toronto.

His acting career began with a guest role in an episode of the television series In the Heat of the Night . Flores has supporting roles in the films Vernetzt - Johnny Mnemonic (1995) with Keanu Reeves , in Blackbird (1995) with Vanessa Redgrave , in The Assignment (1997) with Aidan Quinn and Human Trafficking (2005) with Mira Sorvino to see. In the science fiction television series Mission Earth - You Are Among Us , he played the main character of Ronald Sandoval from 1997 to 2002 , who appeared as the only character in all five seasons.

Flores also often does film stunts, mostly fight scenes. He lives with his wife in his adopted home Canada, in Toronto. He practices Zen Buddhism ( Sōtō-shū ).

Von Flores opened a coffee shop called Bisogno in Toronto on Sherbourne Street in 2009. However, he sold it again in 2011.
