Primary elections for the presidential election in Uruguay 2019

The primaries for the presidential election in Uruguay in 2019 are by the parties in Uruguay conducted statewide candidates for the presidential election in Uruguay in 2019 to be determined.

They take place on Sunday, June 30th, 2019. Each party is a nationwide election in which delegates are elected who will then decide on the candidate at a national party convention.

The primaries will also decide on the candidates for the 2020 local elections .

There are a record number of candidates.

  • Mario Bergara , economist, former Minister of Economy and Finance and Chairman of the Uruguayan Central Bank
  • Óscar Andrade, trade unionist
