Elections in Uruguay 2014

The 2014 presidential and parliamentary elections in Uruguay took place on Sunday, October 26, 2014.

The president, the vice-president, 30 senators and 99 deputies were elected. Since none of the presidential candidates received an absolute majority, there was a runoff election on November 30, 2014 , in which Tabaré Vázquez won.

Each party elected its candidate in the primaries for the 2014 presidential election in Uruguay on June 1 (in brackets, the result as a percentage of the votes cast in the first round):

In the runoff election of the first two candidates, Tabaré Vázquez won with 53.6% against Luis Lacalle Pou, who scored 41.1%.
