Wage War is a metalcore band from Ocala , Florida that formed in 2010 under the name Empires .
history
The foundation stone for the founding of Wage War dates back to 2010 when the two high school friends Cody Quistad ( vocals , electric guitar ) and Seth Blake (electric guitar) decided to form a band together due to shared musical interests want. Three years later, the band took on singer Briton Bond, bassist Chris Gaylord, and drummer Stephen Kluesener.
On June 15, 2015, the band was signed by the US record label Fearless Records . On the same day, the first single was released with Alive . This track comes from the album Blueprints , released on November 27, 2015 , which was co-produced by the two musicians Jeremy McKinnon and Andrew Wade , both active on A Day to Remember . Within the first week of sales, the album was sold almost 2,300 times.
Between November 27 and December 19, 2015, the group was the support act for August Burns Red on their concert tour, which led through several states in the USA and two cities in Canada . This tour was also accompanied by Every Time I Die and Stick to Your Guns . On February 19, 2016, the band will start a tour with Lorna Shore and Oceans Ate Alaska as the opening act for Chelsea Grin , which will lead through the states and several cities of Canada. The Desolation Of Eden Tour ends after 24 concerts on March 19, 2016 with a performance in Edmonton . On February 7, 2016, the group was announced for the Download Festival . Between April 14th and 17th, 2016, the band played three concerts in Japan . On March 22, 2016 it was announced that the band would play on the entire Warped Tour , ten days later Wage War were confirmed for the sister festivals Rock am Ring in Mendig and Rock im Park in Nuremberg . The group's appearance on Rock am Ring was canceled due to the weather.
Between 4 and 10 December 2016, the band plays Northlane and Stray from the Path the opening act for The Amity Affliction in the UK.
