  15. Pascal Irmer: FUZE Magazine (# 52): Reviews : Pages 52, 53: “The band offers progressive, experimental modern metalcore. Above the hard technical tinkering are brutal variable vocals. [...] However, 'Lost Isles' is simply exhausting in the long run. A little less tricky, a little less dissonant would suit the British. "
  16. Pascal Irmer: FUZE Magazine (# 52): Reviews : Page 52: “The intro 'Fourtyfiftytwo' also explains the meaning of the band name and the story behind 'Lost Isles'. On July 9, 1958, a magnitude 8.3 earthquake triggered a landslide off Alaska's coast. 90 million tons of rock and ice fell into the bay of Lituya Bay. This enormous amount and sudden displacement of water triggered a megatsunami and created a high wave. Trees on the shore of the bay were washed away up to a height of 520 meters and everything in their way was destroyed. This is considered to be the world's largest recorded tsunami in modern history. 'OCEANS ATE ALASKA' have named themselves after this devastating natural disaster, and based on this they have written their own musical story. "
