Productions

The Abbey Road Concert Gallissas Theaterverlag each developed on behalf of the TSW Musical AG new materials for the Walen stage.

Heidi - The Musical - Part 1 (2005 & 2006)

Heidi - The musical is based on the first Heidi novel by Johanna Spyri and was developed in English for the Walensee stage. The book and lyrics are by Shaun McKenna, the music is by Stephen Keeling, the German translation is by Anja Hauptmann and the creative development is by John Havu. The piece was premiered in 2005 and played again in 2006 due to popular demand. From December 2006 the play was also performed in the Anhaltisches Theater in Dessau.

Heidi - The Musical - Part 2 (2007 & 2008)

Heidi - Das Musical - Part 2 is a continuation of the first Heidi musical and is based on the second Heidi novel by Johanna Spyri. The creative team remained the same as with Heidi - Das Musical , but the translation into German came from Stefan Huber . The piece premiered in 2007 and played again in 2008. After only 27,000 spectators saw the play in 2008 instead of the expected 45,000, TSW Event AG had to go bankrupt, which is why there was no further production of a Heidi musical in Walenstadt in 2009.

Heidi - The Musical - Part 3

The creative team of Heidi 1 and 2 wrote a third musical from the life story of Johanna Spyri and the Heidi novels. However, this has not yet been performed.

The Black Brothers - The Musical (2010)

The new production of The Black Brothers - The Musical was staged on the Walensee stage in 2008 under the direction of Holger Hauer . Christoph Weyers and Armin Werner were responsible for the set and costumes, Andreas Felber was the musical director. The choreography was done by Andrea Kingston . The musical tells the Swiss story of the contract children . Around 41,000 visitors followed this story through two chimney sweep boys (Giorgio and Alfredo) on the Walensee stage.

Tell - The musical by Marc Schubring (music), Wolfgang Adenberg (lyrics), Hans Dieter Schreeb (book) and John Havu (development) based on the drama Wilhelm Tell by Friedrich Schiller was premiered in 2012. The film was directed by Nico Rabenald and Christopher Tolle , for the equipment was Christoph Weyers responsible.

With a width of 60 meters, a depth of 30 meters and a height of 13 meters, the stage was the largest system that has ever been installed for the Walensee stage. 4,500 linear meters of round wood and 200 tons of boulders as well as towers and play areas made of scaffolding were used. In the middle of the playing area was an asymmetrically shaped hydraulic seesaw. On top of this there was a hydraulically operated crossbow silhouette , also integrated in the stage floor , from which an illuminated arrow could be extended. More than 33,500 tickets were sold.

My Fair Lady (2014)

The musical My Fair Lady will be re-staged and performed for the Walensee stage in 2014 under the direction of Stanislav Moša . The leading roles are played by Eveline Suter as Eliza Doolittle, Alexander Franzen as Professor Higgins, Sabina Schneebeli as Mrs. Higgins, Christoph Wettstein as Colonel Pickering, Patric Scott as Freddy Eynsford-Hill, Dorothée Reize as Mrs. Eynsford-Hill, Cécile Gschwind as Mrs. Pearce and Urs Affolter as Alfred P. Doolittle. Christoph Weyers is responsible for the set design . It includes a 20 meter wide revolving stage and a steel backdrop, 50 meters long and 13 meters high, which represents the old skyline of London. The production was created in collaboration with the Brno City Theater in the Czech Republic.
