Walter Ebenhofer
Walter Ebenhofer (* 1952 in St. Valentin , Lower Austria ) is an Austrian photographer .
Live and act
The artist, who lives and works in Steyr , has a technical and pedagogical education and has self-taught knowledge of photography. Already with his first conceptual documentary work Hochsitzobjekte. Sight outlook. This gave him the opportunity to exhibit in public museums and to receive recognition and sponsorship awards as well as several foreign scholarships. This was followed by work cycles with image mixtures and shot images work with a prepared camera. Another focus of his work is architectural photography.
From 1997 to 2001 he ran the Kunsthalle.tmpSteyr in Steyr together with Johannes Angerbauer-Goldhoff and Reinhold Rebhandl under the sponsorship of the Rohstoff association - an art initiative .
Ebenhofer has been a member of the MAERZ artists' association since 1986 . He is a member of the Lower Austrian Initiative for Photo and Media Art FLUSS in Wolkersdorf.

Ebenhofer's works can be found in the Old Town Hall in Linz , in the Lentos Art Museum Linz , in the Steyr State Hospital and in the art collection of the State of Upper Austria.
