Walter Kunze (born December 29, 1884 in Dresden , † January 14, 1972 in Berlin ) was a German politician ( DDP , CDU ).

Walter Kunze visited the technical center in Hainichen and studied at the Technical University of Dresden and the University of Heidelberg . From 1909 he worked as an electrical engineer at the Lahmeyer works in Frankfurt am Main , later at Brown, Boveri & Cie. in Mannheim and finally as a department head at Bergmann Electricitäts-Werke in Berlin. Kunze joined the German Democratic Party (DDP) in 1918 . In 1920 he became a board member of Deutsche Werke , later of Deutsche Industriewerke . In 1927 he moved to Julius Pintsch AG as a member of the board of directors . During the Second World War , Kunze was a member of the German administration at Philips in occupied Eindhoven .

After the war, Kunze joined the CDU in 1945 and became the fiduciary administrator of parts of Julius Pintsch AG. In the Berlin election in 1948 he was elected to the Berlin city council. In June 1952 he moved up to the Berlin House of Representatives , as Senator Joachim Tiburtius, in turn, replaced the new Bundestag member Agnes Katharina Maxsein . In June 1957, Kunze also moved up to parliament, as Harald Roos was appointed head of the press and information office of the Berlin Senate. At the end of 1959, the now 75-year-old Kunze left the House of Representatives.
