Walter Rasch

Walter Rasch (born May 13, 1942 in Erfurt ) is a German politician ( FDP ) and former Senator for Schools in Berlin .

Life

From April 1982 Walter Rasch was full-time chairman of the board of the Verein für Modellversuche eV in the Donors' Association for German Science . After retiring from politics in 1989, he first ran the German branch of the sponsoring agency Telemundi , and today he runs the business of HPE Property Holding GmbH Berlin . He is the managing director of the now insolvent MSF Master Star Fund and was the sole director of the insolvent DPM Deutsche Portfolio Management AG . From 1991 to 1999 he was managing director of Telemundi Deutschland GmbH and Hanseatica Unternehmens Consulting GmbH, Hamburg and Berlin. Since 1999 he has been a managing partner of HPE Development GmbH, Berlin, and HPE Development GmbH, Hamburg. Since 2004 he has been managing director of Rasch Immobilien Consulting GmbH, Berlin.

Since February 11, 2002, Rasch has been chairman of the Ernst-Reuter-Gesellschaft der Förderer und Freunde der Freie Universität Berlin eV (ERG) and a member of the Braunschweig fraternity of Thuringia . From 2003 to 2014 he was chairman of the BFW (Federal Association of Independent Real Estate and Housing Companies eV) and since 2004 a member of the board of Deutsche Portfolio Management AG. Furthermore, he is a board member of Mediaspree eV Rasch has been chairman of the board of the Prussian Sea Trade Foundation since it was founded in 1983 .

In the summer of 2006 Walter Rasch was sentenced by the Potsdam Regional Court to pay damages to 13 investors because, according to the findings of the Regional Court, he would be liable as the "prospectus officer" of MSF Master Star Fund Deutsche Vermögensfonds 1 AG & Co. KG .

politics

From April 1975 to June 1981 Rasch was Senator for Schools in Berlin and from April 1971 to 1989 a member of the Berlin House of Representatives . During this time he was deputy chairman from 1971 to 1975 and chairman of the FDP parliamentary group from 1981 to 1989. In addition, he was in front of the FDP regional association from 1981 to 1989. Since 1977, Rasch has been chairman of the FDP's federal technical committee for education and is a board member of the FDP-affiliated Walther Rathenau Foundation . From 1975 to 2017 he was a member of the board of trustees of the Friedrich Naumann Foundation for Freedom .
