Rudolf Will

Rudolf Will (born December 16, 1893 in Munich ; † January 10, 1963 ) was a German politician ( FDP ).

Life and work

After graduating from the Realgymnasium in Munich , Will took part in the First World War as a soldier from 1914 to 1918 . Then he began studying law and political science at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich , which he awarded the degree of Dr. rer. pole. finished. He then worked in the private insurance industry and in 1924 became director of the Gerling Group in Berlin-Charlottenburg . He was also a member of the advisory board of the Association of Berlin Industrial Merchants.

Political party

In 1945, Will was one of the founders of the Berlin LDPD and was district chairman of the party in Charlottenburg. After the formation of the Berlin FDP regional association, he was elected to the executive board. From 1956 to 1958 and 1959/60 he was state chairman of the Berlin Liberals. He was also a member of the FDP federal executive from 1956 to 1960 .

Will was a district councilor in Charlottenburg from 1946 to 1948 and a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1949 to 1952 . He was a member of the German Bundestag since the increase in the number of Berlin deputies on February 1, 1952 to 1961. From May 14, 1955 to 1957, he was deputy chairman of the Bundestag committee for reconstruction and housing.
