From 1904 the village of Feeley emerged immediately east of Verna , named after the sawmill owner Thomas J. Feeley. From 1901 there was a post office of the United States Postal Service in Feeley , the village of Verna had a station on the route of the Great Northern Railway . In 1911 Feeley was incorporated as a Village . To avoid confusion with the nearby village of Foley , the name was changed to Warba that same year following a proposal from the USPS. This name comes from the Ojibwe language and roughly means resting place . At the same time Verna was incorporated into Warba and the station was also renamed.
