When it comes to online personal identification, WebID Solutions is a pioneer and market leader with its "WebID Identify Personal" process. Where providers are required for legally compliant identify their customers before online business is conducted, is that of WebID Solutions developed and approved by the regulatory authorities on February 4, 2014 procedure as an alternative to long-established PostIdent of Deutsche Post AG is WebID Solutions' online identification process is the first of its kind worldwide and is subject to patent protection .

In the field of qualified electronic signature, WebID Solutions is also one of the pioneers in Germany.

Customers

In spring 2017, WebID Solutions said it had around 100 customers from the banking sector , as well as customers from the insurance industry and customers from other industries.

The first company to use online video identification via WebID Solutions was SWK Bank . In 2014, ING-DiBa was the first major bank in Germany to set up a complete online account opening, including WebID Solutions. Other customers from the banking sector include Deutsche Bank , Targobank , Deutsche Kreditbank and the financial services provider Barclays Bank .

Customers from other industries include the online price comparison portal Check24 , the insurer Allianz , the gaming provider WestLotto and the automobile manufacturer Tesla . The BAWAG PSK , the Austrian Post and the scheduling service Cashpresso are customers in Austria .

Locations and subsidiaries

The company's headquarters are in Berlin. Further locations are Hamburg , Solingen , Kiel and Frankfurt am Main .

There are subsidiaries in Austria, Switzerland and India .

Awards

In 2016, the company took first place at the Fintech Germany Award in the Growth Stage category .
