Wechold ( Low German Wecheln ) is a district of the municipality Hilgermissen in the joint municipality of Grafschaft Hoya in the district of Nienburg / Weser in Lower Saxony .
The Weser flows east 4 km away. Of Bremen about Nienburg / Weser to Hannover leading B 6 extends southwest km 12, while that of Verden (Aller) over Nienburg by Minden extending B 215 east - runs 6 km - on the other side of the Weser.
In Wechold there are no street names, only house numbers that residents, postmen, vendors and visitors have to use for orientation.
Since March 1, 1974, the until then independent municipality belongs to Hilgermissen.
