The Wedemann is an approximately 5.1 km long, eastern and orographically right tributary of the Losse in the district of Kassel in northern Hesse ( Germany ).
course
The Wedemann flows entirely in the geo-nature park Frau-Holle-Land (Werratal.Meißner.Kaufunger forest) . It rises northwest of the border from the Kassel district to the Werra-Meißner district in the Kaufunger Forest . Its source is around 800 m northwest of the summit of the Hirschberg ( 643.4 m above sea level ), the summit of which belongs to the Werra-Meißner district. Slightly below a forest path, it is around 525 m above sea level.
The Wedemann initially flows northwest on the slope of the Hirschberg to Wickenrode , the easternmost part of the municipality of Helsa , and from then on flows westwards along the federal road 451 and the Märchenlandweg .
Around the confluence of the Lautenbach , the Wedemann reaches the core town of Helsa , where it passes between the Kaufunger Wald in the north and east and the Söhre in the south-west and west after crossing under the B 451 and Kreisstraße 7 at a height of about 250 m into the one coming from there from the south Fulda tributary Losse flows into it .

The largest tributary of the Wedemann, whose catchment area is 14.507 km², is the 2.4 km long Lautenbach , which flows into Helsa on the right side and coming from the north at Wedemann brook kilometer 1.05.
