It is located 4.4 km east of the core town of Großalmerode and 1.6 km east-northeast of Uengsterode and 1.8 km southeast of Trubenhausen , two districts of Großalmerode, and 1.5 km west of the Bad Sooden-Allendorfer district of Dudenrode .

history
Weißenbach was first mentioned in a document in 1342. The place belonged to the Hessian office Ludwigstein / Witzenhausen until 1821 and then to the district of Witzenhausen . During the French occupation, the place belonged to the canton of Sooden in the Kingdom of Westphalia (1807-1813).
In 1964 some houses were threatened with collapse due to the leaching of plaster. The old fortified church was then closed. A new church was built in 1971. In 1978 the village community center followed .
On December 31, 1971, Weißenbach was incorporated into the city of Großalmerode.
